Today we started our own pick-factory. Some of the children already remembered to bring some recyclable plastic to be re-used. Below you'll find a copy of the wilma-message I sent to all you families yesterday!

I' ve managed to purchase a machine, a sort of a plastic perforator, that produces picks (plektroja). Now I would like to ask from you parents for some old plastic cards that you won't use anymore to be given to the children to bring it to the school. Of course, if the children have their own picks, they can bring them also!

And, I' ve heard that quite many of the children have their own ukuleles at home; we have only 20 at school and next Tue there will be more players ' on stage', so I would kindly ask you to borrow them to school asap and until the concert on 17th.

Hankin plektrarei'ittimen, ja nyt kyselen teiltä, voisiko lapsenne tuoda kouluun esim. vanhan pankki- tai muun muovikortin, josta hän voi tehdä itselleen plektran. Saa tuoda mukanaan myös ihan valmiin oman plektran, jos sellainen löytyy kotoa.

Samalla olisin nyt kysellyt, josko olisimme voineet lainata sopraanoukulelejanne (olen kuullut että aika monelta oppilaalta löytyy sellainen kotoa) ensi tiistaihin asti koululle- haluakkaita soittajia on enemmän kuin instrumentteja! Ajattelin myös ehkä vielä ottaa teitä vanhempiankin mukaan soittamaan, niin kaikki lisäinstrumentit tulisivat tarpeeseen!
